When I return from Mexico, I like to blog about something that requires me showcasing my tan hands (see bracelet modeling). My nice tan is currently fading, however, I took this picture right when I got back with intentions to post (see shitty internet) and am finally feeling guilty enough to attempt it. Plus, the internet gods seem to be smiling down at me - must be the near hour I sacrificed today reinstalling my internet radio and restarting game #11651 of Freecell until I beat it.
The point is (there must be a point mustn't there? I just wanted to type "mustn't") that I bought this bag in Mexico in honor of my old roomie, Becky. She had a similarly shaped, and colored bag that was covered in numerous buttons that gave much of the same impression as this bag. My bag is made out of candy wrappers, which I instantly thought was sweet, and I kept seeing these bags are all over Playa del Carmen. I went back to a lady I bought a hat from, who had a cute baby on her back, and was attempting to hagle when Doug just gave her what she'd asked for on only the second try. We probably spent too much on it, but I had to have it. I'm not a purse person by any means, but once my brain had tied it to memories of Becky it was all over!

Riviera Maya Paradise
Doug and I had a wonderful time on our Mexican vacation. It was so great that I even enjoyed doing my laundry today because of the lingering scent of sunscreen and beach. Here are some highlights. I would strongly encourage everyone to take a vacation here, especially if you live in a cold climate, it is good for the soul.
