Sledding with Mom

Definitely the funnest fifty-something I know!

My Mama is always a little concerned about my SAD. Today, she made me go sledding. This picture is actually a couple years old - currently, all of that bramble is covered with snow, so the sledding couldn't be better. We were the only "kids" out there, which perplexes me because this hill is pretty sweet. Add a jump or two and there is totally potential for broken bones. I used my patented bag-socks method: socks with plastic bags tied and secured to mid-calf, sneakers and snow pants on top. Honestly, the best "boots" I've ever worn. My Pops was trying to insist that I wear his boots claiming, "We don't want to look like we're in the Poor House!" To which I said, "Really? I always thought that we were, growing up..." (Mom Eye Roll). Ok, maybe not the Poor House, but perhaps the Short Pants & Exposed Ankles Because We Bought You New Jeans Last Month House. Growth spurts = painful memories.
