The Sun is Back! ..slowly, but surely

It is one of the coldest weeks we've had so far this winter, and it's not just your average kind of cold. It's the cold that seeps into your bones and takes hours to seriously melt out, the cold that makes your nose run and also go numb so that, potentially, you could be oblivious to your crusty boogers for half the day, the cold that takes your average half-naked sleeper and turns them into The Flannel Monster. So, you'd think I'd be miserable, and there are certainly moments of bitterness when I am, yet for the most part I couldn't be happier! Why? Because the days are getting longer!!! It wasn't very noticeable at first (even after I found this neato calendar that shows the times of sunrise and sunset everyday in Wisconsin), however, now I can see a difference - it is light when I leave and still light when I come home! Not just because my bus now mysteriously comes 20 minutes later in the morning OR because I'm making a concentrated effort to bolt out of work like my ass is on fire at the exact moment I complete 8 and a half hours of real world torture!
