Thanksgiving Hangover

I had an average, well one might even say good, day today but I've felt kinda crabby and tired anyway. This might seem typical for a Monday, although I usually enjoy my Mondays -- start out with aerobics and four hours of work, pajamas and homework after that = not too shabby. I think I am suffering from a Thanksgiving Hangover. It was all just such a whirlwind of people coming home and leaving and, once again, I imagined that I'd get to see more of everyone. Now, after weeks of anticipation, it's all over and I'm left trying to figure out what it is I'm supposed to be doing again...?

Emily, I'm so glad we had a chance to go ice skating on Friday, that quality time was precious and my knees match nicely with their shades of purplegreen! Emma, I'm glad you stopped by yesterday, sober visits are always a bonus on such short trips home. Steveo, I hope you enjoyed your Birthday, couldn't find you to say good-bye when we left Dan's Saturday night, so BYE, miss you! Amanda, my only loyal Thanksgiving Two participant, you're in town til Wednesday right? Let me know if you're free between now and then. Oh and I can't forget Jayna, can you believe you were here just barely a week ago? It seems like so much longer with all that has happened in between, hope you are around lots over winter break, more Ohio drunk-dialing in our future.

Can't wait to see all of you at Christmas! Also, looking forward to hanging out more with all of my Madison pals this weekend, I have serious withdrawal as I feel like I didn't see enough of some of you last weekend (hope you had a fun Birthday party K!).

For those of you I did spend time with, I thoroughly enjoyed Thanksgiving, my tour of Oconomowoc (and finally meeting Carly's baby brother), my new love: Hot Butter Rums (thanks Alissa & Eric) and everything else in the middle.

Lastly, an update on Harold: Strangely, Harold still seems to be fighting his battle for life/death. I thought he was dead this evening, as he was at the top of the tank looking somewhat bloated. Upon closer inspection (moving the tank a little) Harold stirred causing Amanda to yelp and me to jump back. It seems he was only resting in the fake plastic trees. We are ever more perplexed by his condition.
